Meet the McPhail Family

"Good Morning McPhail Family". Can't even imagine what they were feeling when they heard Ty Pennington yell those words. Such an amazing story!! My friend from High School, Emilie Sampson started posting some info on this Extreme Home Makeover up in Medford Oregon on her facebook page for her friend Lindsay McPhail and her family. I read more about this amazing family and what they had gone through the past few years and my heart went out to them. They had to leave their house near Portland Oregon, moved in with Lindsay's parents in southern Oregon, lost their savings, and at the same time their 2 older boys were diagnosed with Autism. They had gone through some very rough times but managed to get a great piece of property next to her parents...the problem is, the house is old and run down. But the McPhail's were thankful for what they had and was going to make this house great for their family. I couldn't think of a more deserving family. So, this Extreme Makeover goes to a wonderful family, The McPhail's...
Welcome Home McPhail Family, Welcome Home!!!!!!!!!!!!

Back to School

It's that time of year again...Back-to-School!!! This year both boys started new schools. Dylan is in Kindergarten and goes to our neighborhood school down the street, O.W. Erlewine Elementary. Logan is in 2nd grade at Phoebe Hearst Elementary in East Sacramento (he loves wearing his new uniform...and so do I, no arguing in the morning about what to wear). The Boys are really loving their new schools and are doing great!!

My "Big Boy" Dylan ready for his first day in Kindergarten. He is getting so big and grown up now...sniff-sniff :( But so glad he did AWESOME on his first day...he didn't even want me to stay!! WOW that's a first!!!!

Dylan was so happy to see his good friend and neighborhood buddy Noah in his Kindergarten class...just gotta make sure these 2 stinkers pay attention, LOL!!!

Logan, my big 2nd grader just loved his new school Phoebe Hearst. He would not stop talking about it when he got home on the first day. So glad he loved it!! Phoebe Hearst is an AWESOME school!!!! Just too bad they don't have Kindergarten...have to wait till next year for Dylan to go. It's a lottery based school and you have to meet the academic and behavioral requirements to first get into the lottery...then you cross your fingers your kid gets picked. I remember when we got the letter that Logan got in...WE WERE ON CLOUD 9!!!!! So now that Logan got into Phoebe Hearst, Dylan and Zoey should be able to get in based on sibling priority. So, many exciting things going on this year at Phoebe Hearst...keep a look out for more school year posts :)
